First day of 1st grade!

Monday was Hailey's first day of 1st grade! She is growing up so fast, she is just blossoming into such a beautiful young lady. Oohh I just love her so much!

Busy, Busy, Busy...

So it's been a while since I put anything up, mostly because I'm too lazy, but we have had a lot going on. Since my last post, we went on our first big family vacation to DISNEYLAND! It was so much fun. We drove to St. George and stayed the night, then woke up at 3 in the morning to head to California. The drive was a piece of cake, the kids were amazingly good. We went to the beach the first day and met up with our good friends the Madsen family. My kids hated the beach, I think it was just too hot! So the next day, we took the kids to the Knott's Soak City. It was this huge water park that was way more fun than the beach. The next 3 days were spent in Disneyland. I felt like a kid, it was the most fun I've had in a really long time. On the way home we stayed the night in Vegas, then headed home in the morning. All together we were gone 7 days. Our next fun trip was up to Bear Lake with more good friends. It was definitely too cold to play much in the water, but we hiked the caves and just hung around the camp fire while the kids rode their bikes all weekend. Here are some pics from those vacations.

4th of July

We had a fun 4th of July this year. As usual, we went to the early breakfast in the park, then went to the parade. Hailey got to ride on the Fire truck this year and throw stuff at people. Katie, Anna, and I watched the parade. We decided to hang out in the park this year and see all of the carnival stuff and watch some shows, that was a lot of fun. For dinner we went to our friends Andy and Marie's for a BBQ and s'mores. We had a great time. We missed Steve a lot, maybe next year he can come with us.

Happy Birthday Hailey!

Wow, has it been 6 years already?! When we found out we were pregnant with Hailey, we were SO excited, but scared to death! I could not wait to find out what we were having, when we found out we were having a girl, I was thrilled to say the least. I wanted a little girl so bad! I was scheduled to be induced on June 24th 2003, so we woke up early in the morning and headed to the hospital. Little did I know, it would take 13 hours of labor and a c-section to finally get her out! She was born at 8:02 pm and weighed 8lbs 2 oz. She had this beautiful head of dark hair, you couldn't help but touch it. I just can't put into words how much I love Hailey, she is the sweetest, most thoughtful kid I've ever met. She loves to help me with anything, just to make me happy. She is the best big sister ever. I always tell her that I'm so glad she was born first. I don't think Katie would be quite as eager to help out. Not to mention she is absolutely gorgeous! We feel so lucky to have her as a daughter and I can't wait til she's all grown up, I know we'll be best friends.

Happy Father's Day Steve!

Dear Steve,
Thank you so much for being the wonderful dad and husband that you are! I could never tell you thank you enough for working so hard so that I can stay home with our kids. I love the way the girls light up when they see you, and the way they cry for you when I yell at them. You are my best friend, and I am so happy you are the dad to my beautiful girls, and that we get to watch them grow up and live their own lives someday. I just know that you'll give them hell through their teenage years when it comes to boys, and I have to admit, I'm glad you will because I'm too soft. We have a lot to look forward to, and I'm so happy it's with you.
Love,
Beck

3 Years Old!

Wow! Has it been three years already?! When we found out we were pregnant, we were so excited! We couldn't wait to have an ultrasound to see what we were having, so of course at 16 weeks we went to Fetal Fotos. They told us Katie was a BOY! So for 4 weeks we were sure she was a boy until we went to the Dr appt for our 20 week check up. When she said "There SHE is!" We just sat quiet for a second then we both said "SHE?!" As we were leaving the appt, Steve said " I always liked the name Katie." From then on, she was Katie. I was due to have her on June 24th, which is Hailey's birthday, so we were scheduled for a c-section on June 19th. on June 15th, Steve went to a Bee's game with his work and didn't get home until about 11:00 at night. As soon as he got home, I had a good hard kick, and my water broke! We rushed Hailey to grandma's and went to the hospital. The doctor on call suggested that I try and deliver her without a c-section and we both said "NO WAY!" So she was born at 1:15 am and was 9lbs 12 oz, boy was I glad I didn't try and push her out! We are so glad to have her in our family, she is feisty, funny, beautiful, crazy and we love her!

6 Months

Anna is 6 months old! I can't believe how fast time flies! So she had her check-up the other day and she is 17.2 lbs and 28 in long. She is getting so big. I moved her to a big girl car seat the other day and she loves it. She is getting better at eating solid foods, but still makes a mess every time. We just love Anna so much, she has really made our family complete!

Our beautiful toes after an awesome pedicure

In the nail salon

We went to Moab for Mother's Day weekend with all of our very best friends and had a blast! We got down there for lunch on Friday and stayed until Monday morning. We had so much fun swimming, hiking and sitting around the camp fire roasting smores and just talking and laughing. But the absolute highlight of the weekend had to be when the husbands surprised us with a pedicure! They found a salon in town that said they would do pedicures for us all after they closed for the day! I don't remember the last time had so much fun with my friends. Then on Sunday the kids surprised us with picture frames that they painted and decorated while we were at our pedicure, it really was the best Mother's Day for me. I can't wait until next year, because this needs to be a tradition for sure!

Easter

We woke up Easter morning to find that the "Bunny" had filled our baskets and hid eggs around the house. The kids had so much fun finding them. Then we had another egg hunt at Nana's house with a yummy french toast breakfast. At Steve's parents house we had another egg hunt, Katie had her own pink eggs that were peanut free (thanks grandma and grandpa). After we emptied out all of the eggs, it was time for the annual egg fight. Steve and his brother Scott pelted the kids with eggs as they ran around the yard laughing and screaming. It was a lot of fun.

Las Vegas

playing Whack-a-Mole

Harley Davidson Cafe

Rain Forest Cafe

On Sunday we flew down to Las Vegas with my mom and Emily for a couple of days, just us girls. We had so much fun, I can't believe how well behaved my kids are! They loved the airplane, especially because they had control of their own tv shows (JetBlue rocks!) Then when we got down there we went to the Rain Forest Cafe at the MGM. Katie was a little scared of the thunder storm, all the lights would flash, it was cool. Then we swam the whole rest of the day... yes it was 80 degrees !! All three of my kids fell asleep on the lounge chairs by the pool, it's exhausting to have so much fun in one day. That night I shared a bed with Katie... bad idea!! This was the first time I've ever shared a bed with her.. and the last. She is all over the place!!! So about midnight I went and squeezed into bed with Anna, she doesn't roll around much yet. Monday we went walking on the Strip and of course went to the MnM factory, where you can spend way too much on different colored MnM's. We also spent a lot of time in the arcade of the Excalibur, where you can spend way too much money on games for silly prizes, but the kids had a blast counting their tickets and redeeming them for stuff. We spent a little time at the outlet mall, not just any outlet mall, this mall had a True Religeon store where I found some jeans called "Becky", oh how I want them, they are so cute (too bad I'm poor). On Tuesday we saw the lion at the MGM. It was so cool, it came right up to the glass in front of us. The girls were so excited that it licked the glass right in front of them. Then we swam some more and caught the plane home. It was exhausting but so much fun! I have the best mom ever to do that for us.

4 months old

So Anna had her 4 month check-up today, everything went awesome. She's doing so well in every area.... but then there's her length! Holy cow this kid is long! The Dr. said she needs to be moved to a toddler seat in the car because she is too long for the baby carrier! What am I going to do with a 4 month old when I go grocery shopping that can't sit up in the cart yet?!
