BBQ

Last night we went to a BBQ for the Fire Dept and the girls got their faces painted. Hailey wanted to be a cat, and of course Katie wanted to be just like Hailey. My two cute little kitties!

Flaming Gorge

We went to Flaming Gorge over the weekend with some of my family, this was the first time we'd been there and it was absolutely gorgeous! It was quite the drive to the top of the Uintah mountains but once we got there, it was totally worth it. We pretty much spent our days on the boat and our nights around the fire. The kids had so much fun hunting for rocks to take back home to Nana. Katie fell more times than I thought possible, her knees are completely scabbed over. We swam a ton and Steve spent a lot of time on the wake board again. He's actually getting pretty good! This was a good trip to end the summer with, I can't wait until next summer!

The Zoo

Hailey had been nagging us for weeks to take her to the zoo, so we finally gave in. We actually had a really good time, it wasn't too hot and the animals were pretty active. I sure hope we're good until next year, I can only handle the zoo once a year.

8 Years!!!

Steve and I celebrated our 8 year anniversary this week, and I'm still in shock that it's been so long. Steve and I met while working together at Dillard's when I was 19 and he was 20. I thought he was pretty cute, and he was pretty persistent on asking me out. He probably broke the bank on all of the flowers he bought for me. We went on our first date to the March of Dimes haunted house and then to the Salt Lake Roasting co for hot chocolate. I've always thought that it was the best first date I'd ever been on because we talked for hours and hours about everything. I knew that this was a guy that I definitly wanted to hang around more. Steve proposed to me on April fools day, and I think my parents wished I was joking when I told them I was getting married, all they could say was "You're so young...", but I was totally head over heels. We got married on August 11, 2000 at Heritage Gardens, it was one of the best days of my life! We had all of our family and friends there, even our new kitten came. We went on our honeymoon to Las Vegas, I'm not sure why, I wasn't even 21 years old yet, but we still had a great time. Skip forward a couple of years and now we have two beautiful daughters and another on the way. I feel like the luckiest woman in the world because I married such a great guy. He really takes good care of his family, I know we would never go without. I think he'd get a fifth job before he let that happen. It's so nice to be partners in life with your best friend, the person you share everything with. I can't wait until we're old and grey and looking back on the 50+ years we've spent together. I love you Steve!

Belly Buddies

So this is me and my friend Jen, we just happened to be wearing the same shirt that night and we both have pregnant bellies, I thought it was pretty picture worthy. I think we might both need a little reminder that we are some pretty darn cute pregnant chicks!!

What's in a name....

So it's getting closer every day until baby girl number three, and we're no closer to deciding on a name for her. I spend a lot of time on the internet looking up names and trying to come up with one that really strikes a chord, but no luck. If you have any suggestions.... I'm open! I guess she could just be Baby Girl forever.

Steve and his Dad

I have this cute picture of Steve and his dad that someone took of them during some training that they were both at. I just wanted to share it because I think it's real neat that Steve's following in his dad's footsteps.

Starvation trip 2008

Over the weekend we went on our annual Starvation camp trip. We went with my dad and his wife, my sister Emily and my brother Brad and his boy Jacob. We were pretty excited because this would be the maiden voyage for our new camper trailer. It's a little bigger than our old one so I was really nervous to pull it up the canyon, but the truck did just fine. When we got there, we figured out real quick that the generator we bought for it would'nt power the air conditioner. So needless to say it was a HOT weekend! It's a good thing we were at the lake, so we spent as much time as we could swimming in the water. The girls had a ton of fun riding on the tube with Steve, and Steve had a ton of fun perfecting his wake boarding skills. It was fun to watch them all, too bad I couldn't do much but swim, I can't wait for next summer.
