One of my favorite pictures! They are modeling their new hats and scarves.
Breakfast at Nana's.
With their new pillow pets.
Ready to attack the presents!
I can't believe another Christmas has come and gone. This year was the most fun by far, but I say that every year. The girls get so excited for Christmas morning that it makes me feel like a kid too. They did really good this year, and came up stairs at 6:45. That was fine with me because I couldn't sleep anyway... I was way too excited! We gave and received some great gifts this year, No one was disappointed. After the whirlwind that is Christmas morning, we went to breakfast at my mom's, and as usual, it was absolutely delicious! Then it was off to my dad's for more yummy food and more gift exchanging. We came home around 4, and put our pj's back on, and watched movies the rest of the day. It was perfect!

Christmas Eve
The stockings were full...
The presents were all wrapped and under the tree.
The girls in their new jammies...
Our annual family picture in grandma Karen's big chair.
One of my favorite nights of the year is Christmas Eve. We get to have dinner and open presents at Steve's parents house with all of the cousins. The dinner was delicious as usual, gotta love beef brisket. Then it was time to head home to get down to the real fun stuff... Santa! We put the kids to bed and stayed up late getting everything ready for the big day. It really is one of my favorite times with Steve, we do lots of wrapping and lots of eating cookies and candy.

Bad Blogger...
As you can see, I'm a terrible blogger. I have a hard time finding time to share the fun and crazy things going on in our lives. Here is a brief over view...
August-
On August 11, we celebrated our 10 year anniversary. Steve was on shift that day, so he had me come to the station and the guys lifted us up in the bucket 100 ft in the air. It was so scary, but it was fun to be up there together and reflect on our triumphs as a married couple. It's hard to imagine that I've been married for a third of my life. It's really been an amazing 10 years. I cant wait for the many more decades of happiness to come. Also in August, Steve graduated from the U's paramedic program. That was really the toughest 6 months of our married lives, but we managed with some help from amazing family. We also went to Las Vegas with my mom, sister Emily, and brother Brad and his family. We rented an amazing house with a pool and just hung out for a week. It was so relaxing. One of the nights there, the ladies and I went to the Tao night club and ran into Lady GaGa. That was pretty crazy.Steve and I have also been keeping up on our love of running. In September we both ran an 18 mile race for the Sandy City Fire Dept. It was so hard but so amazing at the same time. It helped me realize that I am one strong woman, and can accomplish anything I set my mind to. The next goal on our list is the Ogden Marathon on May 21,2011. We also have our sights set on the St. George Half Marathon in January, and then again the Ragnar Relay in June. Hopefully we can squeeze in a couple of other races too. We just can't get enough.
Last month I was also able to potty train Anna. That was a major Yahoo moment for me. No more diapers!! She caught on so quick and has been absolutely awesome at it. My babies are growing up so fast.
Hopefully I'll be able to stay on top of this through the holidays to keep you updated on our fun.
Sorry in advance if I don't :)

Halloween
We had a great Halloween this year. I got to be in charge of the party in Hailey's school class, it was a ton of work, but very rewarding. The girls always have so much fun carving pumpkins and decorating the house for the scary holiday. We had a blast with friends trick-or-treating and the kids came home with way too much candy :)

I have a new love... his name is RAGNAR!
Steve running his hardest leg.
Yeah, he stunk!
Sporting the Mohawk!!
During my 1st leg, my team mates cheering me on.
Before the race started. We have no idea what we're in for.
Steve and I finished our first Ragnar relay this weekend. Steve was runner 1 and I was runner 3. We were in a van with some really awesome team mates, they were so supportive and fun. So the race started off with Steve in Logan at 7:15 am. All six of our vanmates ran their best and were so supportive of each other. I smelled so bad by the end of this, I practically had to scrape my sportsbra off with a spatula! The craziest part of this experience was sleeping on the ground behind a gas station in the middle of the night. We were so tired we didn't care where we slept, even though it was freezing cold, and only got about 2 to 3 hours sleep. That part sucked. At the end of my third leg, which happened to be 8 miles UP HILL on the back side of Jordanelle Res, I cried a really UGLY sob. You know the kind you can't control that's really embarrassing... Yeah, that was me. Some guy walking past me said " let it all out honey", it was sweet of him. That was the moment in the race that I realized what we'd accomplished together. Steve was so amazing, he got out of the van and ran almost the whole hill with me, handing me water and telling me how proud of me he is. You'd probably cry too :) I also loved watching Steve run, he really is a fantastic athlete. I was beaming with pride watching him. Everywhere you looked you would see vans decorated in absolutely crazy ways, hear cow bells and air horns, and see people dressed up in rediculous costumes. It was a riot! I can't wait to do it again next year, I wouldn't miss it for the world!

Half Marathon
We did it! Steve and I finished our first half marathon last Saturday! We woke up at 4:30 am on Saturday and headed for Trax. When we got to the starting point up at the U, there were thousands of people waiting to start the race. I could never have imagined that there would be such a huge turnout. The first mile into the race, my knee started hurting so bad, every foot strike sent shooting pains up my leg. I was so affraid that it would stop me from finishing the race. I just pushed on. After a few miles, I just became numb to it and tried to push harder. The hardest part was at the very end we ran from 900 south and state street up to South Temple. It was all up hill. The last stretch to the Gateway was just packed with people cheering you on. That feeling of accomplishment just overcame me and I felt like I could have ran 10 more miles. When I was coming around to the finish line, I saw my whole family there cheering me on, the feeling was overwhelming. I hope I'm setting a good example for my girls, that they can do whatever they put their minds to. I ended up finishing the race in 2 hours 15 min. Steve absolutely killed it, he finished in 1 hour 39 min. When we were leaving we both said " I'm hooked!" There will be many more races for us, next April will be the full marathon.

Easter
Yet another fun holiday at the Roberson house. The kids woke up in the morning excited to find their baskets and to hunt for eggs around the house. Then it was off to Nana's for a yummy pancake breakfast with the fam. We then had dinner at Steve's parents house with all of the cousins. The night ended with the annual easter egg fight. Everyone went crazy throwing empty eggs at each other. It was a great day.

What's on my mind....
I thought it would be fun to write about the different things going on in my head while I sit here on my bed looking out at the snowy day. (Inspired by Lindsey)
*I love it when my baby takes a long nap, it's a great break for mommy.
*I'm so glad to be done with all of the Girl Scout cookie stuff, that was a pain.
*Anna is starting to talk so much, but I think only I understand it.
* I sure wish I could breath normally, my asthma is kicking my butt these days. I can't afford the prescription refill right now and don't want to ask for more free samples, I think I've had my share of free samples.
* I love to stare at my kids pictures, they are so beautiful. I can't believe they came from me.
* I have mixed feelings about turning 30. On one hand I feel old, and the other, I'm in the best shape physically and mentally of my life. So I should be ok with it... right?
*I can't believe I'm going to run a half marathon in a couple of weeks. That blows my mind. I never thought that I would be able to be that person, to reach my potential. I'm usually a side line sitter, I watch everyone else become who they want while I cheer them on. Now it's my turn. Now if I can just figure out whats wrong with my knee.
* I think alot about the fact the fact that we are done having kids. I will miss the excitement of meeting my baby for the first time. Nothing compares to it. It sometimes makes me sad, but I know it's for the best. It'll be time soon to sell off all of our baby stuff. :(
* I'm so proud of my husband. He works so hard for us, and does'nt complain. He is going to be an amazing paramedic. I have no doubts in my mind that he will save many lives in the future. I love it when he needs me to pretend to be the patient and he goes through all of the steps he would take, it almost chokes me up with pride that my man is so amazing!
*I have the best friends in my life. I'm learning everyday what it means to be a good friend because I have great examples. I hope that my friends see me as a person of strength in their lives, because I know I've needed them for strength a time or two.
*I'm so happy that we decided to take Dave Ramsey's class. The past 10 years neither one of us knew how to budget our money. Now we actually have a grasp on things. We will do great with the info and hopefully in a few years we'll be a success story too.
*Speaking of 10 years, I can't believe we've been married nearly 10 years! We were just so young when we met and married, I'm still amazed that at 19 years old I had the ability to spot my soul mate. I'm sure it's part of a larger plan, it just has to be.
*Ok, Anna's calling to me from her crib, nap time's over. Guess I'd better get going. :)
